CHOOSING THE RIGHT CLASSES

Picking the right classes in highschool can certainly prepare you for college. The article “The Balancing Act: Choosing High School Courses for College Success,” written by Jennifer Gross gives advice on picking the right courses to prepare for college. She includes Pushing yourself to take hard classes, considering what interests you, and not overdoing yourself. Shaun McElroy affirms if you have a job, play varsity athletics, or like to volunteer, maybe it would be better if you took fewer advanced courses and excelled in everything (cited in Gross). So when choosing your courses remember, “your choices today will matter tomorrow,” emphasizes Gross. It is important that you decide on classes which will help you do your best. Choose an enjoyable, edifying schedule with the end in mind.
